I have over a decade of clinical experience supporting both individuals and couples from the LGBTQIA+ community. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based methodology rooted in mindfulness. On one hand, I take a pragmatic approach — I teach my clients evidence-based life skills, I help them identify meaningful ways to put therapy into practice, and I hold them accountable to their commitments. But I also view therapy as an opportunity for genuinely transformative growth. Even in the first couple of sessions, many of my clients are asked to view things in ways they haven't considered before.

ACT has proven particularly effective in my work with the LGBTQIA+ community. While it provides a structure for therapy, it's ultimately a client-centered approach that empowers people to chart and pursue a course uniquely suited for them. In particular, I provide targeted support for gay men as they address a diverse range of challenges. These include addressing issues like loneliness, anxiety, and depression; managing substance use; navigating a community where open relationships are often the norm; building community and chosen families; coming out to others; and issues pertaining to sexuality, including identity, desire, communication, and sexual health.

In my work with couples, I also specialize in The Gottman Method. The Gottmans are "The dean of marriage experts," according to The NY Times, and the "Einstein of Love," according to Psychology Today. Using this research-backed approach, I've helped many clients reestablish and deepen a sense of connection and learn genuinely effective ways to communicate. If you're navigating a complicated issue, whether it's differences in libido, conversations about if or how to open your relationship, or addressing the aftermath of an affair, there are trusted frameworks that can help with that.
